September/October 1863 (dated January 20, 1864), stationed near Russelville, Tennessee. November/December 1863, stationed near Russellville, Tennessee. Record of Events: This company left Lookout Mountain, Tennessee on the 4th day of November 1863 and marched to Timer Station, then taken Railroad fare to Sweatwater, Tennessee; marched to Lowdon where skirmishing began and on the 18th November was in battle near Knoxville; also in some other fighting during our stay there on the 4th December and reached near Rodgersville on the 14th; just marched back to Bean Station and engaged with the enemy for a short period. October 31, 1863/February 29, 1864, stationed at Greenville. Record of Events: This company left camp near Russellville, Tennessee January 28 for Dandridge February 2; left 31 got back to Russellville on the 2 February; moved camp to New Market on the 10th of February, left New Market for Greenville, got there on the ? of February 1864. May 9, 1864/June 1864, stationed near Petersburg, Virginia. Record of Events: This company left Gordonsville on the 4th day May 1864; went into battle on the plank road on the 6th May 1864; left on the 7th; entered battle near Spotsylvania Court House on the 8th ; left this place on the 21st May arrived at North Anna River on 22 May; engaged in Battle at Cold Harbor on the 28th; arrived at Petersburg, Virginia and was engaged with the enemy on the 19th of June. July/August 1863, stationed near Walleys Tavern, Virginia. This company left Chambersburg July 1 and marched to Fayetteville, Pennsylvania where it bivouacked for the night; July 2nd moved towards Gettysburg and participated in the assault on the Right; July 3 remained in line of battle until 2:00 o’clock PM where in obedience to orders it fell back to the stone fence where the line was first formed on the 2nd instant; July 4 skirmished until night where we were withdrawn; July 5 marched all day and bivouacked at night near Monterey Springs; July 6, marched to Hagerstown and bivouacked for the night; July 7, cooked rations and went on picket; July 8, remained on picket all day; July 9, were relieved by 15th SC; July 10, the Brigade was in line of battle and sharp skirmishing with as general engagement; July 11 moved some 3 miles to the right and formed line of battle and sharp skirmishing; July 12, skirmished all day; 13 retired through ??? and moved towards the Potomac; 14th, crossed the Potomac and bivouacked for the night; 15th marched to Bunker Hill and encamped; July 20, marched to Millwood; 21 marched to Fort Royal; July 22, crossed the Blue Ridge and arrived at Culpepper Court House on the 24th since which no movement has taken place, except occasional change of camp. May/June 1863, stationed in Camp near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Record of Events: The company remained in Winter Quarters until the 28th of April when it moved to take part in the Batter of Chancersville, and on the 2nd of May it was detached with the rest of the regiment from the Brigade and sent to support General F. H. Lee’s Cavalry with the exception of a little skirmishing we were not engaged. On the 7th of May we returned to our old Quarters near Fredericksburg and remained until June the 3rd when we moved in the direction of Culpepper and bivouacked; on the night of the 9th of June near Stephensburg. Remained in the vicinity of Culpepper until the 16th of June when we moved toward the valley. Crossed the Shenandoah at Ashby Gap; June the 24th moved down the valley in the direction of Martinburg and crossed the Potomac at Williamsport the 28th and encamped for the night.
