Diaries are another source of great information, both for genealogy and history. L.E. Gardner was both a Notary Public and Magistrate, but also kept much personal family history, as well as local events, so we have included his material in this category. The Aaron Weaver Knight Diary was continued by his son, Sidney T. Knight, and is one of the most important documents for genealogists in the Jefferson/Angelus area of Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
