Company F of the 7th South Carolina Battalion was made up mostly of men who lived on Lynches River in the area where Chesterfield, Kershaw, Darlington, and Lee counties join together.  Even though most of the men were born in Kershaw District, it is well represented with men from Chesterfield District.
